Cordero al chilindrón (Lamb stew )
Lamb will be an essential ingredient as you might expect.
Then the "chilindrón" is a sauce which is
made from dried peppers.
It is a dish which fills you with energy, except for the energy
required to digest it. It is particularly healthy when accompanied
with the dressing of a few packets of Almax.
Consequently, we could also classify this dish as one for
the NON-HANGOVER days.
Nor is it a great dish for the very hungry, since it is customary
to serve it with a lot of bones from the lamb. |

Drinking

Caldico
And to finish up, a drink which is both non-alcoholic and
hot ! The fact is, it's a kind of soup, usually made from
fowl, which is taken early in the morning, at the end of an
all-night session.
It goes down well and it takes away that taste of oil which
remains in the mouth after a night of heavy drinking. Also
it is salty which makes for an agreeable bit of meat which
helps calm the stomach.
Some bars pour a little Andalucia white wine into it. (Manzanilla). |

The Worker
To have to work during
Sanfermines is a BIG DRAG. Especially if you have to work
beside people who are out having a ball. This is the case
of the Barmen, who suffer the Fiesta as best they can, serving
drinks day and night to an insatiable public.
Then there are those who come along and clear up the whole
thing afterwards, the glasses and dregs of the nights
drinking. Thats to say, all the personnel from the Garbage
Services who have such a lot of work to do. As well as having
to put up with the boisterous merriment of those having a
good time, they have to deal with the typical crass type who
impedes their work.
At Sanfermin.com y Kukuxumusu we have also worked during the
Fiesta. But as everything that we do during the Sanfermines
is done in order to celebrate our anniversary, then it becomes
a pleasure for us to do more and more things for the Fiesta.
Although some of us would have like to have been able to get
soused a bit more often than we were able to... |
