::THE REPORT::

Today it was the turn of Mercaderes street to become the most dangerous stretch and to display the most perilous moments of the bull-run. Thanks to their very fast pace and the wet ground, both bulls and runners slipped on as they entered this stretch. A small pile-up formed on the right side of the street and the brown bull, "Romero" ran straight into the pile-up, more from inertia than any wish to charge the runners. He gored a runner, causing a 15 cm penetration to his left thigh. The runner is a 38 year-old Englishman Andrew Slatter who was taken off to hospital. From this same pile-up a 60 year-old Frenchman Jean Marie Gaudin suffered a heavy traumatism to his stomach.
