One injury from a goring in the sixth bull-running

The sixth bull-running of the Sanfermin fiestas resulted in one runner being gored by the horns of a bull. Another six people were treated in hospital for various traumatisms suffered in the course of the run.

The "Virgen del Camino" Hospital treated five of the injured:

- Víctor Álvez López, a 31 year-old from Madrid received a goring in the upper left thigh at the Teléfonica stretch. - He has been operated on.
- José Luis Morentín Echauri, a 23 year-old from Pamplona, was taken from the Teléfonica stretch to the hospital suffering from multiple contusions. The prognostic was light and he was discharged after treatment.
- Brian Robert Englum, a 21 year-old from New Orleans, (U.S.A.) suffered a cut to his mouth in the bull-ring. At hospital he was given some stitches and later discharged.
- Donovan Campbell, a 25 year-old from New York (U.S.A.) suffered a dislocated bone on his right ankle in the bull-ring. The prognostic counseled an operation and the injured man has decided to wait to undergo the operation in his own country as he plans to return home next Sunday.
- Óscar Valencia Ibañez, a 35 year-old from Tafalla, (Navarra) suffered a broken finger to his left hand when he was stepped on by the hooves of a bull. The prognostic is not serious and he has already been discharged.

The Hospital of Navarra attended to two injured people:

Jorge Curto Plá a 30 year-old from Tortosa, suffered some contusion to his lumbar-back zone. The prognostic is not considered serious and he was discharged after receiving attention.
Y.A.P.G. a 28 year-old man from Columbia, resident in Pamplona, suffered a slight cranial traumatism from a fall from the fencing at the Town Hall Square and he was discharged after receiving treatment at the hospital center.
