::THE REPORT::

Today, as the runners were still chanting their third and final homily to San Fermin, the pack of wild bulls and bell-oxen were suddenly released from the pen. But it simply caused more surprise than panic. The bulls were led along behind the bell-oxen, all in a compact group and they stayed tightly together all along the sloping stretch of Santo Domingo. It was impossible for the runners to get in front of these "Torrestrella" bulls as they stayed tightly attached to the bell-oxen along the stretch. The fast pace was the only danger for the runners , many of whom were knocked over by the running pack of animals.
